Not nearly complete. Does not conform to the Freedesktop.org naming spec. Some residue of the "old GNOME" style. Still interested?
This is the unofficial, unadulterated, unabashed personal Tango theme of Lokheed as it was the moment he left Linux (Gentoo) for Apple Mac OS X. It is anything but complete, but there are many icons unique to this theme that are nowhere else to be found.
Accolades go to Jakub Steiner and the entire crew working on the Tango Desktop Project. Credits also go to certain individuals in the community that have also added to the Tango development over this past year.
This set is released under the CC license and is free to distribute and modify as long as you yourself, release it under the CC license containing the very same provisos mentioned previously.
Enjoy.
EDIT: Fixed an issue with the emblems, please replace this new version with previous one.
Looks really awesome It'd be great if freedesktop opened some kind of gallery, where users could submit works and other do "groups" of icons to make a whole theme. Freedesktop, or any other entity.
There has been a request/move towards having your icon set on ubuntu repository. Only two points remain
Your quote "Not nearly complete. Does not conform to the Freedesktop.org naming spec. Some residue of the 'old GNOME' style." I guess you won't be doing that & it would stay like that.
Further "It definetly needs some work-overs including some of the icons changed like the x-shockwave-flash mime-type icon changed to include the new logo, and Adobe as the owner of Flash on that icon. It also needs the docs conformed to secifications." <ianoboy> and I think he's right if nothing else then about using Adobe's logo. See if u can do something about that. Hoping that you do improve it & lots of people from ubuntu can take pleasure out of your beautiful stock. I have also seen the other Icon Set which you have done & its also beautiful. If you can do something it would be nice
They work great on my machine since ages. I do actually the image you use in the preview seen above, the dark blue leaves on a light blue background. Could you publish that as a wallpaper? I'd love that.
