A snapshot of my /usr/share/pixmaps/ directory before the big move. Many customized Tango icons for various core GNOME programs that have never been released, anywhere!
Unzip and move to /usr/share/. DO NOT overwrite blindly. This pack includes many changes you may not want.
Dude, I've been hunting high and low for an SVG of the existing CPU from the CPU-Freq icons. Can you help me here? I require it for a set of mashup icons for a recent OSS project.
Please, please, please with Tango on top
Such a shame you no longer theme for GNOME BTW your Twitter account cannot be found!
Glad you like 'em. I don't know squat about SVG and just don't have the time to make anything really. Got so many projects on the todo pile and so little time, gotta prioritize. But you may try jimmac; he (or the other Tango members) may be more magnanimous.
Since I moved to Mac, I haven't themed much at all. Kinda miss it somedays, others, not too much Was really time consuming! Anyway, best of luck on your project and thanks for pointing out the Twitter feed. I shortened my username a while back but forgot to update DA
You sure you aren't talking about the symlinks? Items like gedit-logo.png, gnome-calc3.png, etc. are symlinks. And I doubt those will show up on Windows.
dont you find that there needs to have been a much much better way to handle different icon sets in linux?
Sometimes engineers dont really pay attention to the details
Yep. Tango tries to bring together Linux by having one unified set. How? Be having the same naming scheme. An alternative solution available? Create a small program to make symlinks for either KDE, GNOME, or whatever so it doesnt matter what you have installed. Icon naming utils does this.
Seems like a lot of work that should never have needed to be done. But everyone likes it some way...like it matters what you call an icon. And then you always get those idiots who like to ice skate uphill.
To run a unified set of icons is so easy, especially in Linux, but it just seems so hard for people to actually do. Dinkin flicka.

So, no, nothing is broken.
Thank you for the pack
